Why Walk with me?

I have a deep love for mother earth and reverent appreciation for the natural world. I have studied and work with aspects of EcoTherapy, Shamanism and Animal Totems. I have diplomas in MBCT (Mindfulness Based CBT), Jungian Psychoanalysis and Masters Degree in Art Psychotherapy, MA. I have a great appreciation for esoteric arts and spiritual practices, and I am grateful for my intuition and wisdom learned from these knowings. I have great respect for the many Indigenous nature-based traditions and try to live in a mindful and thoughtful way through environmental stewardship honouring our planet and Mother Earth.

Benefits of Walking Meditation

Walking meditation combines the advantages of physical activity with mindfulness, making it an accessible and dynamic practice.

What is Active imagination art / mark making?

Active imagination art making benefits individuals by bridging the conscious and unconscious, fostering self-discovery, enhancing creativity, and promoting emotional healing through symbolic expression, leading to deeper self-understanding, stress reduction, problem-solving, and personal transformation by bringing inner imagery into a tangible form. It's a powerful tool for processing and resolving inner conflicts, gaining insights that fuel artistic inspiration and personal growth.

You also have the added benefit of being in a stunning natural environment while gently connecting to yourself and connecting to mother nature (a form of EcoTherapy...

How it Works (Ecotherapy)

Nature / Ecotherapy offers significant mental & physical benefits; reducing stress, anxiety, and depression while boosting mood, focus, self-esteem, and social connection, by reconnecting with the natural world you improve your overall well-being.

Ecotherapy uses nature-based interventions (like hiking, forest bathing, or outdoor therapy) to reconnect with the environment, fostering the inherent healing power of natural elements like fresh air (negative ions), sunlight, and green spaces to restore balance. Even short bursts of 120 minutes per week in nature can significantly improve well-being.
