Hi, I am Eden. I am warm, approachable and friendly. I work compassionately and empathetically to create a safe, trusting and nurturing environment. With my experience and psychodynamic theoretical frameworks, I support the client to go at their own pace, building the therapeutic space around them. I offer one to one private sessions in Greenwich SE10, on Harley Street or OnLine sessions via Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp or Skype.
I have nearly two decades of experience in the caring profession and in the international charity sector. I have been tirelessly passionate and committed to the wellbeing and empowerment of people who have been marginalised, stigmatised or socially disadvantaged. I am an imaginative, creative thinker and seek innovative and meaningful arts based approaches to recovery or self-discovery, keeping the client at the heart of my practice.
My model of practice is person-centred and holistic, informed by Jungian theory. Supporting individuals and groups in private practice and with international humanitarian organisations, I have experience working with co-morbidity and complex mental disturbance, trauma, and with people of diverse ethnicities.
I have a professional approach that leads with compassion and integrity. I have worked with mental health and challenging behaviour in schools and in specialist hospitals. My clinical experiences include working with Maggie's Centre and MacMillan for Cancer Support, working with patients in a high secure forensic setting within the NHS, supporting women in Refuge, working with special needs children in the UK and Africa and working in conflict zones or areas of natural disaster with displaced survivors.
I have experience and specialised training in complex trauma and PTSD, I have worked in challenging environments with global non-government organisations such as International Justice Mission and HFHI Global Village as well as local charities such as Refuge, Gaia and the Downtown Women's Center. I appreciate the quality of the therapeutic relationships I build with individuals and the diverse group of clients that I work with.
As well as my private practice on Harley Street and in Greenwich SE10, I also hold Expressive Arts workshops internationally for corporate groups, nongovernment organisations (NGOs) and NFPs with a focus on self-exploration and self-care; as well as integrative art and yoga workshops- Art and Om© for all - every body and all abilities. Please see 'More' and the Workshops page.
I have certificates in EMDR, Trauma Informed Expressive Arts (T-IJM & TIEA), Equine Lead Therapy (IFEEL & AHF), Photo Therapy, Neuro-psychoanalysis and the Science of Nutrition. I completed Yoga instructor training (RYT-300) Vinyasa Flow Yoga in 2008 with the White Lotus Foundation and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) course with Hala Khouri and the OMpowerment organisation. I am a true believer in the healing practice of Yoga, meditation and holistic living.
