Techniques to support your therapeutic practice with people who are experiencing current and acute trauma. In this interactive workshop we will explore how to better support clients who may be showing symptoms of dysregulation through visual imagery, attuned breathing, and embodied mindful being.
These tools can be useful in reducing both cognitive and physiological symptoms of anxiety, stress and acute trauma. The practice creates physical and mental activities that change brain waves to release emotional tension, slow down the nervous system, and allow muscles to relax.
In this experiential workshop we will be focusing on breathe work and seated postures, it will not be an asana practice (no standing poses). So feel free to sit in a chair or on the floor with a blanket or matt. Please wear whatever you are comfortable in. We look forward to meeting you Monday.
